Best RV Parks & Resorts on Texas

Traveling around the states in an RV is one of my favorite things to do. If you’re anything like me, you want to have a rough idea of where you’re planning to stop. And some of the must-sees along the way.
If you’re planning on going to the Lone Star State with your RV, then look no further. Here are some of the best places to go and some of the top Texas Coast RV parks.

Galveston
Must-See Things While RVing in Galveston
The island city of Galveston is renowned for its picturesque setting on the gulf coast. It has a range of tourist attractions and things to do that I’ve always enjoyed with my family and friends.
A trip to Galveston would be incomplete without visiting the Moody Gardens and Aquarium, but I’d also recommend going to the following:
1892 Bishop’s Palace
A beautiful historic mansion that offers tours and some great photos.

A restored 1895 mansion with an exciting tour.

Galveston RV Resorts
Dellanera RV Park
One of the most picturesque RV spots on our list. This beachfront location has space for around 70 RVs and even has its own section of beach to enjoy. It’s a great place to unwind after a long day of sightseeing.

Galveston Island RV Resort
The amenities at this RV resort are some of the best I’ve seen, with a lazy river, tennis courts, a dog park, and a heated pool. I’ve always had a warm welcome from the staff and love the picnic tables and grills.

Galveston Island State Park
Located on the west side of Galveston Island. This state park offers a very rural setting and is excellent for relaxing and resetting.

Tiki Tom’s Extended Stay RV Community
Tiki Tom’s leans more to extended stays, but shorter stays fine too. This RV park is on the tiny Tiki Island just before you cross the bay to Galveston.

Houston
Must-See Things While RVing in Houston
When most people talk about Houston, they may think of NASA or the NBA team. But there is so much more to Texas’s most populated city that makes it a cultural hub and perfect spot to visit.

The top of my list whenever I’m recommending Houston, the world capital of space exploration.

Port Aransas
Must-See Things While RVing in Port Aransas
The beautiful Gulf of Mexico beaches of Port Aransas makes it one of the nicest places to visit on the Gulf Coast. This city on Mustang Island is one I’d always recommend visiting.
The city may be smaller, but there’s no shortage of things to do, making it a worthwhile stop on your tour of the Gulf.

Another option right on the Mustang Island beach, the amenities are simple, but the location does the talking.

Must-See Things While RVing in Port Arthur
Around 90 miles east of Huston is Port Arthur, home to the US’s largest oil refinery and a treasure trove of other tourist spots.
There’s a rich and vast history to this small city, and I always love RVing here on my Gulf trips.
